Punjabi Chana Recipe
Curry dish
Traditional South East Asian chic peas curry dish.
Serves: 6-8 Persons

Ingredients
- Canned Chick Peas 800g
- Oil/ghee ½ cup
- Onions (chopped) 2 (medium sized)
- Tomatoes (Chopped) 2 (medium sized)
- Yoghurt 1 cup
- Coriander leaves (chopped) ½ bunch
- Green Chillies (thinly sliced) 2-3
- Regal’s Chat Masala Mix 1 tsp
- Regal’s Punjabi Chana Masala mix 50g (1/2 packet)
For Tarka (Sizzle)
- Oil/ghee 2 tbsp
- Garlic (thinly sliced) 2 cloves
- Onion (chopped) 1 (medium sized)
- Cumin seed (whole) ½ tsp
Cooking Method
1. Fry onion in oil/ghee until golden brown.
2. Add tomatoes and fry for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the mixture of Regal’s Punjabi Chana Masala Mix and yoghurt, and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add chick peas and cook for a further 10-15 minutes.
5. Add coriander leaves and green chillies.
For Tarka (Sizzle)
1. Fry Onions and garlic in oil/ghee, until golden brown, then add cumin seeds.
Result
Delicious Punjabi Chana is ready. Sprinkle Regal’s Chat Masala and serve hot with naan.
